Wow. I can't believe I haven't written in almost a year.

The ride has been crazy so far. There are moments when I just want to give up and get lazy but dreams come charging in and after a lull for a few weeks, I get up and get back on track. Indeed, results of your hard work only show 3 months after, so press on!

Have built an international business and now it's back to the local one- act local, think international right?

Also had the awesome privilege of hearing Kumar speak, live. It was surreal. This is a truly a man who just gives it like it should be- he rejected questions at Night Owl (this is a question for counselling) and told leaders off for asking questions that were clearly indicative of not practicing the 9 core steps. Great reality check, even for myself.

Summer conference!!!! The leadership dinner will be a blast :)

Sometimes I wonder why we have the internet. Did you know that the internet was initially created for secure communications within the military?

Today, this has opened the doors to more evil- easier access to porn, smearing of others through 'blogging' (yes, I do see the irony in this but I have a point). I for one, decided to start this blog because there are so many voiced opinions about the 'disadvantages' of Amway, the oh so terrible things that happen (what terrible things?!).. and what I have found out is that little knowledge is poisonous.

On many aspects, I feel like the Amway bashings and the Christian bashings are pretty similar. All I'm asking is that people come and see. Don't just google it. Cos you know what, give me your name, and in seven days and I can guarantee that you'll find nasty things about you on the internet. That's how EASY it is. It's a pool of opinions. Information comes from good sources on the internet where it's a government site or if you read the background of the organization carefully. And by that, I mean the founding statement, the company's values, their aims and goals.

And in that mire of thoughts, I realized that God can turn things around for good.

Started by whom? Steve DeVos, son of Rich DeVos- who is a co-founder of Amway.

If you are a prebeliever, I understand the non-excitement. But there is a common thread here. DeVos family is one of values and that's how the company started out and still stands for.

However IBOs decide to run their business, whatever they decide to do, is a separate issue from the values of Amway as a corporation, and from the character and integrity of its founding fathers.
Just as the Methodist church has its messy history, does that appropriately reflect on its founding father, Wesley? Just as many christians today give christianity a bad name, does that reflect on the Person Jesus Christ? Be careful about this one.

Don't confuse the representation of a company with its workers.
If I served poorly at Walmart or Coles, does that mean its CEO and the board of directors are crappy people?

COME ON.

This is so similar to what Ravi Zacharias said in a sermon- "Emotions are indicators of reality, not fabricators or framers of it". Emotional stability isn't often thought about in our everyday lives. We are more prone to discussions about movies, the weather, economy, interest rates... but not about emotional stability. We can sit around and say that someone's a little crazy, or get worried about a friend who appears to be slipping into depression but we don't have any answers unless we are psychologists or psychiatrists or have some sort of counselling background.

Yet, emotional stability seems to be one of the cornerstones for sticking to this business.

We're having a coverdish tomorrow and I'm excited!

It's really strange how in a short period of 3 months, these people whom I barely know have become friends. I actually like hanging out with them and the past 3 weeks (while I have been away on holiday) have been really strange- in the sense that I haven't seen them or spoken with them. And I kinda miss it.

We spent New Year's together playing charades and it was one of the funniest things I've ever done.

Who says you can't mix business with pleasure?

The reason for this blog

I started my journey as an IBO (independent business owner) three months ago. It has been a journey. One of personal growth- extreme personal growth, full of challenges but also, very rewarding.

During these three months, I have encountered people who have 'heard' or 'searched' things out about Amway that I do not really understand. I myself am still starting out but I have seen only positive things from this business. And so, I'd like to record my journey.

Without a doubt, it will be trying and it will be challenging but I've always held that what doesn't kill you will grow you. Besides, anything that is good does not come easy. So I soldier on.

I welcome you to my experience of Amway.

There are no facts of Amway in this blog, just an opinion. Mine.
